In this study, the high-energy ball milling (HEBM) technique was used to produce nanoparticles of ZnO from its microcrystalline powder. Four samples were ball milled for 2, 10, 20, and 50 hours, respectively.

Jul 15, 2017· The results demonstrated that the synthetic pigment is a kind of new green hue based on crystal structure of zinc oxide, which can be used as color pigments. High energy ball milling (HEBM, the suitable milling time was 2 h) can reduce the particle size and make it uniform, also can improve the color properties of pigments.
The average diameter of the ZnO NPs was found to be the smallest among the above methods when the capping agent ethylene glycol was used (Method 3.6). 4.3 Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) The diffuse reflectance spectra of all of the ZnO samples are shown in Fig. 5.
